We had already been to Amsterdam twice before this trip, but travelling with our toddler was going to be quite different.
Our requirements for a hotel was that it needed to be a stones throw from a tram stop-pretty easy in Amsterdam;tolerant of children;easy going but also service that would make you feel a little special. It also needed to be avoidable.
The Swissotel ticked the boxes for all the above. It was more expensive than some 4 * hotels but after shopping around we found a decent price-though can't remember what it was.
The staff was really friendly but did n't make you feel claustrophic and the entrance of the main tramway to central station was clean and very modern.
However, it was the room that was the best thing for us-we had a room right at the front so could sit at the window and watch amsterdam life go by.The bed was huge and there was space for another bed for our toddler.
There were lots of places to eat nearby and the room service food was good.
We would definately go back if we could afford it.
Proslocation and great view
