Too Far Out

As you drive up to the Gran Balisani the grand entrance and lobby are very impressive but after that it all goes down hill. We had booked a junior suite. The room smelt old and musky and there were also a lot of renovations going on including a dreid up fountain outside our room. The fact that the hotel is on the beach didn’t make any difference as you could not go swimming there because it was too dangerous and you would also get mobbed by the locals trying to sell you fake watches etc. ….

"Outstanding value"

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Grand Balisani Suites in September 2006. We chose a junior suite room which was fully outfitted with TV,large bed, extra-large and luxurious bathroom, mini bar, and balcony overlooking the beach. The hotel's many features include a giftshop, business center, 24 hour room service, full service restaurant, large swimming pool with swim up bar and a tour booking service. Unfortunately the beach is also a gathering point for the island's ever-present and persistent vendors. The restaurant features a modest breakfast buffet and a comprehensive lunch and dinner menu with an impressive wine list.
Overall the Grand Balisani Suites is a great deal for the price.
