When we landed on the tarmac on St; Lucia, I thought we were standing too near to the jet engines; but it was the St. Lucian heat(90 degrees F)!
The Rendezvous hotel is a couples only hotel, which caters for every whim of each guest.There was a hotel coordination tour of the hotel grounds, (an introduction to its facilities and staff).
Everything was free;all meals, all drinks, all entertainment, all sports including water-sports and gear.
An Island tour took in everything that makes St. Lucia, St.Lucia.
Our room was superb overlooking the turquoise, blue Caribbean sea.
We got married,(after a twenty-nine year engagement!!), on the beautiful sandy 2 mile beach; I walked down an 'aisle' made of tropical flowers, towards my groom who waited for me under the shade of a palm tree, serenaded by Lionel Richie's 'Endless Love"!
A champagne reception followed, then on return to our room, found our, (huge), bed, strewn with the most beatifully scented, tropical flowers.
That evening, we feasted on a romantic dinner for two, at the hotels' Trysting restaurant, our table covered in rose petals, accompanied by a classical guitarist who played my favourite; "Romance".
The following morning, a champagne breakfast (feast!), arrived in our room, before we headed out to Martinique for a days Honeymoon!?!
Every wedding arrangement was taken care of by the hotel's wedding coordinator. All we had to do was turn up!!
Truly, a wedding made in Heaven!
