I'm very fussy about the comfort of beds in hotels. I thought one I found in Australia couldn't be surpassed until I stayed at The Marriott Mountain Resort & Spa in Vail Colorado. The room was spacious with a good size bathroom and large bed supplied with plenty of pillows and cushions which was a dream to sleep on. Nothing has come close. The restaurant was ok, nothing to shout about but the service was good. I liked the bar just off of the lobby which was very cosy (I was there in winter), friendly and served very good bar meals. The staff in the ski room were very attentive. My one criticism as a skier was that your skis are stored outside. The location is very good close to the Lionshead gondola.
