BUSY AND TOURISTIC AREA
We booked for a week. After 2 days we had enough because Hersonnissos is so touristic, noisy, crowded and commercial. This is a place for tourists who do not want to experience the beautiful nature and calm of Crete. You need to drive at least 1 to 2 hours (along the coast) to get away from the crowdiness. Moreover, the balcony of our studio overlooked an ugly roof with a huge antenna, which was right in front of us.
DISHONEST MANAGEMENT
We asked if we could cancel the rest of our reservation and they assured us that this was no problem. They also promised that we would get a refund for the remaining days, as the total amount had already been taken from our credit card. Also be aware: they charge you extra taxes which they do not mention when you book the room nor when you arrive and pay for the room!
We never got the refund for the remaining days (300 euros) and they now claim that we indeed left after two days, but that we wanted to keep the room for the rest of the week. This is of course absurd and a plain lie.
