Apartment-Lobrovic is a magical and charming apartment perched in a former monastery over looking the Adriatic Riviera. We have stayed here several times and have spent lot of time with the owner.
The building the apartment resides in, is the 5th building in Dubrovnik and is built on a rock because in history the south side of Old Town Dubrovnik was an island and the main street of Dubrovnik was a channel.
However in the 16th century the building was transformed into Benedict Monastery Santa Maria, until the big earthquake in the 1669, when the Monastery closed down. However this is one of the few buildings that survived the earthquake.
This is a unique apartment and one of the very few with a stunning setting offering the guest breathtaking panoramic views of the sea, Old Town and the peppered Islands (all seem as if in the palm of your hand).
The apartment offers a high standard of comfort and is also ideally situated being close to all amenities such as the beaches, restaurants, bars, supermarkets and shops. The enchanting landscape, including the nearby islands, the beaches, the numberless historical sites, the colours, the shapes, the scents, the warmth of the climate and people...
will all provide for an unforgettable experience
This is the home away from home along the Adriatic Coast. From the terrace absorb the views of this old city Dubrovnik, or ancient Ragusa, a medieval aristocratic republic from the 12th-19th centuries and the
best preserved walled city in the Mediterranean. It is one of only three European cities ranked as a World Heritage Site of zero category by UNESCO.
The English poet Lord Byron named Dubrovnik at the "pearl of the Adriatic". I would say that this apartment is the "Pearl of Dubrovnik" the apartment is visited annually by regular guests and has been rented long term by writers.
This apartment is a 2 bed, one bathroom, with living room, equipped kitchen and private terrace. The decor is simple; white washed walls, exotic paintings, pressed linen and large shuttered windows opening to take your breath away. All rooms feel airy, bright and fresh making you
feel at home.
The owner is very warm and will go out of his way to make your stay memorable. He speaks good English and is happy to meet and greet you at the airport and arrange a porter to take care of your luggage on arrival to the Old Town. He also holds vast knowledge of the area and knows how
to enjoy the Adriatic in style
