Detailed review
The Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel, renowned for its many previous guests including, it is rumoured, the gangster Al Capone, is perfectly located for all the main attractions and museums. It is right on the edge of ‘The Magnificent Mile’, one of the most famous shopping streets in the USA. Comfortable rooms (poor views) but good breakfast buffet. Good cocktail bar. Don’t be afraid to ask the concierge’ for maps and local advice. A 2 minute walk from the John Hancock Centre, one of the tallest buildings in the world (far better views that the Sears Tower). Head for the cocktail lounge on the 96th floor.
Location.
Poor view. Decor a little dated in places.
