Located next door to Liverpool Street station, this is a very stylish boutique hotel set in a renovated old railway building. The project is the brainchild of Sir Terence Conran (of Habitat fame) and is designed as a classy alternative to the business traveller in London.
The rooms all come with CD player and DVD player with a library of free up to date films to choose from. You can even borrow (for free)Playstations with games or a PSP with games or movies.
The rooms are clean and modern in a bauhaus style.
Braodband is of course avalaible and the toiletries come courtesy of the oh so hip Scandinavian brand Ren (their shop is also next door for the must have purchases).
The staff are young and designer clad but very friendly and helpful.
Location wise for the city it is perfect- less so for those on a shopping expedition but with Liverpool Street station next door, you are well connected with the rest of town.
A thoroughly recommended experience.
A gym and a champagne and oyster bar complete the package - shame I was there on business....
ProsStyle - it oozes it
Consprobably out of the way for the tourist unfamiliar with London
