at £320 for a one night stay one might expect a little extra from a stay in a hotel. Browns Hotel offered that and much more.
Arriving in our cab a doorman opened the door wishing us good day whilst a bellboy reached in for our cases and dissapeared, returning seconds later to lead us to reception. Initial view of the interior of the property showed a style and elegance that made you feel more at home than in a Hotel.
At reception a well groomed young lady made her way from behind a desk some 15 seconds after our arrival, apologising for keeping us waiting. Checking in was a simple process and our receptionist offered a personal tour of the hotel and its luxury extras. She then escorted us to our room, offering personal assistance with any queries we had. moments after she had departed the bellboy arrived with the cases offering to unpack and hang the clothes if required.
The room was made up of a Queen size bed, with champagne on fresh ice, handmade chocolates, fruit and flowers as part of the package. The bathroom was stunning (and large) with a shower that boasted two heads and seven taps. Everything down to the slippers in the wardrobe indicated luxury. THe room boasted everything in either finest wood or solid silver.
An hour after we had settled in and there was a further knock at the door. A young maid stood at the door with a silver ice bucket asking if we would like fresh ice for our champagne.
We was going out that evening, the hotel had been inquisitve to know of our dining arrangements, on arrival back at the rooms the bed had been turned down ready for us, sensual oils had been left in the bathroom, our slippers laid ouyt alongside the bed and the air conditioning adjusted so that the room wasnt too hot or cold.
The next morning at breakfast was a true experience, silver service waiting even down t oserving you sauces, pouring your tea and being available at your every request. Every one of the staff were friendly, polite and professional. The conceirge was helpful in every way with helping out with our queries and it truly was a shame to leave.
If you are looking to show someone you love a luxury break moments from the heart of the Westend then Browns Hotel of Mayfair is a must.
ProsVery hospitable
excellent rooms
excellent service
excellent location
Makes you feel like a special individual/Couple
Cons£320 is a lot for a night, although what you get is worth the experience and compared with some other upper class hotels this is good value.
