Washington Mayfair Hotel

This hotel was published on many websites as a 5* establishment however, on the hotel's own website, it states that is actually a 4* which is slightly more appropriate. However a 3* should be more accurate.
The service was not very appealing as waited at main reception for 15 minutes (with no other clients waiting and 2 staff behind the counter) before they acknowledged me. They didn't have a room for us so it was just as well i took my reservation and then they stated that they upped our room to a suite as a gesture of good will however, the room they put us in even though was slightly bigger in square footage to our original booking, the jacuzzi was not functioning (however was more suited to a small bath with 4 jets!) this in fact was one of the reasons i chose this hotel. no one came to fix this problem or offered a room change. they took 90 minutes and 3 phone calls to bring our bags up, in the end, we had to go and get them!
although the location was perfect being only 2 minutes from green park underground, i certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. this was a poor hotel considering the room price was £250.
