This hotel used to be the Sheraton Aerogolf, a bland pre-fabricated building located close to the airport and the golf course - none of which were affiliated to the hotel except through name association.
The hotel building has not really changed but the inside has been renovated and been given a smart European minimalist makeover. The rooms are small but comfortable, although the room was non-smoking there was still the lingering smell of stale tobacco - leftover from the previous hotel the receptionist seemed happy to tell me.
The problem with the old hotel (and new one) is that it is completely in the middle of nowhere (except being close to the airport and the golf course).
Taxis into town are EUR 15 each way which kind of makes the cost saving minimal when you compare it to hotels located more centrally.
Staff were friendly but slightly inexperienced - they all had a look about them that this was a summer job.
So does NH Hotel mean not happy or nice hotel? Well I think the appropriate moniker would be not horrible / not a highlight - I would consider staying there again but it was nothing special.
ProsNew rooms - but how long will they last especially if they already smell of smoke?
ConsNothing terrible. Location is the only one that springs to mind.
