My husband and I stayed at the Rixos Bodrum in June this year. This hotel caters for all ages. It has its own private island which holds a disco most nights and a party with fireworks once a week. The island has private jetties which you can hire for a day, and you get your own waiter bringing drinks, fruit and snacks.
The food in the restaurant is good and varied, but the a la carte restaurants are epecially good. we liked the French restaurant best, but the Italian and Fish restaurants were also very nice. The drinks were always flowing, and you did not have to pay extra for premium brands.
The views over the bay are stunning, especially at sunset. You can even take a sunset trip on the hotel's boat. You can also book a breakfast trip round the bay on the boat - at no extra cost.
The staff were all very friendly and most of them could speak a little English. The hotel and grounds were spotlessly clean. Our room was not huge, but adequate with plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. We were in the main building, but many of the rooms were in the grounds and up a lot of steps.
The pool was lovely, as was the private beach. There were always enough sunloungers to go round.
We enjoyed our stay at the Rixos and would not hesitate to go again.
ProsA la carte restaurants
ConsMany of the rooms were up a lot of steps - not good for older people
