The hotel benefits from its location-within walking distance of the local train station and as such,only 5 minutes away from the very heart of Sydney, Circular Quays-where the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Botanical Gardens etc.are situated. Shops,Cafes and Markets additionally within walking distance of the Hotel.Conveniently placed opposite, is a pub and its` upstairs restaraunt serves reasonably priced and delicious Thai cuisine, as well as an extensive English menu.
Hotel decor is clean,pleasant and only recently refurbished. Wide reception area and front-of-house staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Self-contained rooms, although quite sparsley furnished, do contain wardrobes and cupboards, as well as small kitchenette,microwave and tea-making facilities. Shower, tea-making facilities are also inclusive. A minor irritation was the view from the room window-the adjacent office block, only. Overall though, the positive aspects of the Hotel-ie. location, costs / facilities etc. far outweigh any percieved negative points. Room prices are excellent value for money and staff really do make an effort(such as assistance with using the Hotel telephones, internet access etc.)to ensure your stay is a pleasurable experience.
