This cosy little hotel was tucked away in the beautiful suburb of Wollahra. Only 15 minutes to the city and a 2 minute walk to the best designer shops in Sydney! Quiet and cosy rooms, with great full hot English breakfast included in the price!The staff were welcoming and friendly, the service was great, and the food amazing! If you go there keep an eye out for the fabulous food and beverage manager Mark and make sure you go on a Friday or Saturday night and hear the wonderful pianist Victor play.This place really makes you feel like you are at home!

The Hughenden is located in Woollhara,midway between Paddington and Bondi,just off Oxford Street.It is a small,cosy and family run hotel where you are part of the family and not just a number.I arrived very early one Sunday morning after the long flight from London and they were kind enough to allow me the use of a room(free) for a shower and rest until my room was ready.The owners are around all the time and are so friendly it was the only hotel I have stayed in where I was truly sorry to leave.The location is excellent for both the city centre(plenty of buses along Oxford Street)Centennial Park is just a short walk away,and Bondi Beach.It really makes a refreshing change after all the sameness of the major international chains...go on give it a try you won't be disappointed.
