The intention of this stay was a romantic getaway, in early February, and a chance to relax and unwind. The rooms proved to be larger than their pictures on the website, and the white tones of the room which was decorated with a beach motif gave a luxurious feel. The room in particular was overlooking the ocean and the infinity pool. Although we were directly above the bar (which also served gormet pizzas), we hardly heard a sound at night other than the waves crashing against the cliffs.
The room had a two person sized spa, and my partner was very thrilled by the monster sized shower head. There was a seperate lounge area, a small kitchenette, air conditioning, and king sized bed. Towels were refreshed as often as necessary.
The hotel also has a restaurant that served breakfast daily (included in the room price), a beautiful continental breakfast of fresh pastries and fruit. All staff were very kind. A DVD library was available to guests.
The hotel also has an onsite spa retreat, and the hot stone massages are to die for. Follow one of these with a (somewhat pricey) cocktail at the bar by the pool, and you'll feel a million miles away.
Ulladulla is about a five minute drive away, and it has many restaurants as well as some shopping, but basically the whole place is relaxing, welcoming, and warm, as you would expect a beachside town to be.
ProsThe day spa, the cocktail bar, and the beautiful pool.
ConsLimitations on food choices, no room service.
