Stayed here when it first opened a few years ago, for New Year in 2004.
From the outside the hotel looks nice, and at night is lit up in vibrant colours (not in a tacky way though).
We opted for a Medium room, (Queen size bed) and was very happy with the room.
Molten Brown toiletries were in the bathroom, dressing gowns were waiting to be worn, the bed was like sleeping on a marshmallow, and was lit up with a blue light from beneath.
The only downside was that the rooms were supposed to have BOSE systems and Ipod docks, but this wasn't the case. However, we were in NYC to visit Manhattan, not to stay in our room the whole time.
On New Years Eve we found the bed covered in party poppers, hats, streamers and a copy of the last New York Times of the year.
We were very happy with our stay and the prices were very reasonable. It had a good central location, and had the most amazing views down Broadway from the bar situated at the very top of the building.
