This small hotel, is ideally situated if you go to New York for the shopping! Set in a small side street (East 30), and a stones throw away from The Empire State Building, Maceys, and most major tourist attractions. Only has 2 lifts, but we never had to queue to use them. Nice clean basic rooms, with a large bathroom, not much of a veiw but if you are doing NY on a budget then this is for you! Rooms are equipped with a safe, iron, ironing board, cable TV, alarm clock, and a lovely comfortable bed! When going back to the airport, DO NOT order your car through the valet in the reception! They tend to rip you off. We were the told the car would cost $60, but eventually cost us $80, as they collect a $10 deposit upon booking, then you pay the driver $5 for the tolls, then the cost of the car is $60, plus tip, and the driver moaned as we only gave him $5, told us it was normally $10! Apart from that, we had a great stay! While your there, check out the coffee shop which is 2 blocks away! It serves the best coffee and hot chocolate we have tasted in NY.
ProsHotel is clean, tidy and ideally situated.
ConsWindows could do with spruce up. (draughty on times)
