Snug as a Bug in a Rug

Who spends much time in a room in New York City? You're not there, I hope,
to be in a hotel room. But in spite of that, I must say, I felt snug as a bug when I was in my room. The windows were easily opened for Fresh Air. The heating/cooling system worked beautifully! The BED was Most comfortable.
As a matter of fact I was amazed how architecturally safe the design was. Every part of the room had a function which you could readily put to use. Fixtures were all first class.

I plan to stay there for future New York visits and will suggests the same to my friends who travel. So Thank You "The Pod" over the Easter Holiday.

Good price and location but that's about it...

I booked The Pod because of the good rate (less than 300 USD) and good location.
When I arrived at the hotel, I realized that that were the only good reasons to book this hotel.
Although the rooms were clean, they were very small. The bathroom was a joke that small and the staff wasn't particularly interested.

Good location

The Pod hotel was a great choice for our stay. The location is very good for the price, Times Square and Central Park are both within walking distance and just a couple of minutes from the shopping of 5th Ave.
The hotel has a very modern design. The rooms very small but clean.

Fantastic

Fantastic hotel with perfect location. Right near the subway. The rooms, although small, are very modern but cozy and clean. Would definitely go back. No restaurant but next door there are with good prices and similar service.

Budget hotel!

Great location and even it is is small, you will never find such a decent room in that area for such a good price. Shared bathrooms, but they were clean and it was never a problem getting in. Rooms have plasma TVs and iPod docks. Walking distance to Broadway, Rockefeller Center, etc. and there's an all-night market around the corner. Definitely great for travellers on a budget.

Fantastic value and great location

We stayed here during our 8 night visit to New York City and everything about it was great. We had a room with bunkbeds (each with own individual TV) and a shared bathroom that was cleaned daily and in very good condition. above the door in each room is a panel indicating which of the 4 bathrooms on the floor is available. All have speakers in that play chilled music that is also playing in the hallways and lobby. The rooms were a good size (we didn't spend much time there!), the staff were very helpful and the concierge full of useful information. There is even a roof garden with a great view of the local area. The location is also fantastic - we were very close to 2 subway stations, dozens of restaurants (thai, chinese, pizza, italian, fish, european, greek, turkish, american - you name it!) and a fantastic bakery called the Buttercup Bake Shop. If returning to NY I would stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it.

Friendly, clean, great location.

No bar in hotel but there are dozens near by so it doesn't need one.
