The visit
Legends, a 4 star luxury hotel which belongs to the Naiade group, is situated on the north eastern coast of Mauritius. What strikes you immediately once you pass through the entrance gate, is the feeling of complete peace coupled with the continuous sound of tropical birds in the banyan trees.
Location
Legends is located on the north eastern coast of Mauritius, a 15 minute drive from Grand Baie which is the most lively tourist center on the island. The transfer time from the airport is about 80 minutes.
Atmoshpere
Legends’ concept is based on the principles of Feng Shui (an ancient philosophy with its roots in China) enabling guests to experience the art of living in harmony with the environment.
Rooms
All 198 rooms have a sea view. They are all decorated according to one of the feng shui elements: metal for standard rooms, water for deluxe rooms, wood for junior suites and fire and earth for senior suites and villas.
Beach
The bay is wide and protected and cannot be accessed from the outside. Therefore the sea can be enjoyed in complete intimacy, exclusively by Legends guests.
Activities
Thalaspa Le Source offers a wide range of excellent massages and body treatments. Jacuzzis, sauna and steam bath are all free of charge.
There is also a diving center, a tennis court and a fitness center. Special activities include yoga and thai chi classes, a golf driving range and a cinema.
Service
A welcome with champagne, an eye for detail, nothing is too much for the friendly Mauritian staff.
Food
On a half board package, breakfast and dinner are included at Legends'main restaurant, Ginkgo which offers themed buffets or set menus. Apart from that, for a supplement, you can choose to enjoy your meals at one of the other restaurants:
- The Karma House - Legends’ fine dining restaurant.
- Abalone - the seafood restaurant where a special effort is made to offer romantic dinners whilst you sit with your feet almost in the ocean.
- The Mediterranean restaurant - La Bastide.
- The Pool Bar and Grill - Banyan.
Cleanliness
The rooms are cleaned twice a day; in the morning and after dinner when the room is prepared for the night.
