The Sails in the Desert Hotel is the 5 star section of Voyages Ayers Rock Resort. The hotel itself is great with wonderful, helpful staff. Do not go there with a mission of having a room with a view of Ayers Rock as this is not going to happen, the resort is designed to have minimal impact on the surrounding environment and so is built no higher than the surrounding sand dunes. This being said it is the best place to stay within the resort and I really enjoyed my time here.
Location, Quality of staff, service, food
Slightly outdated rooms, lack of activities not involving trips to Uluru or Kata Tjuta
