Detailed review
OK - it's a hotel in Disneyland Paris (DLP - it saves me typing too much). You are either reliving your childhood or are spreading some joy for your children. The good news is that this hotel is as good as it gets for children and adults alike if you are visting DLP.The good points - 1. This is DLP's flagship hotel, so it should be the best and it is. The decor is Colonial American and you are greeted in an impressive high ceilinged lobby which on closer inspection is filled with little Disney details and characters that will delight your children (or you). It is more tasteful than it sounds, honestly.2. You don't get the crowds that you get in the other Disney hotels. I don't think that there are as many rooms in the Disneyland Hotel so you don't have to queue for 20 mins to check in, get breakfast etc. (see our other review of Newport Bay Hotel in DLP on Vinivi!)3. This is the closest you will get to the Parks. It is a 1 minute walk to the entrance instead of waiting for the shuttle bus for 15 minutes. You don't need to pass the security check (annoying when you have children, prams and rucksacks) and you have your own side entrance to the park that avoids the queues. This really was a great bonus both at the start and the end of the day.4. You get 1 "fastpass" ticket for each family member eachg day with your stay. These tickets allow you to jump the queues on the most popular rides and are invaluable time savers. You don't get this with the other hotels5. The food is actually good! A little expensive but we were pleased that you could get real food (not just burgers, chips and "Mickey Pizzas") for yourself and your children.6. Characters. In the other hotels, Disney characters only visit occasionally to see your children and for photo opportunities. This being the flagship hotel, characters are here all the time. Apparently before they enter the park they have to pass through the hotel. This is good but can delay you considerably if you want an early start as your children will not leave without a cuddle from Mickey / Minnie etc!7. The room was comfortable and was easily big enough for a family of 4. Again the decor was full of Disney detail when you looked close enough - our children loved the bathroom decorated with a huge mirror in a frame carved with the 7 dwarves, and tiles with detail of the hippo in a ballet tutu from Fantasia. Again, it was a lot better than it sounds! The bad points - none really. It was the most expensive hotel so may not be to everyone's budgets, but it was not too bad and all the good points made it value for money. The children were the ultimate judge of this hotel and they loved it which meant that we loved it too.
Location, free "fastpasses", lots of Disney Characters.
Maybe price?
