The Hilton in Kuching is a great base for seeing the sights of the city, it is not 5 star by any means but it has all the amenities you would need, the service is great and the rooms clean and well kept. The pool area is lovely but really it's too hot and there's too much to see in the city to waste your time sunbathing!While you are there I would definately recommend CPH tours for excursions in and around the city, particularly the Irawaddy dolphin watch. I can also recommend the "Jolly Good Food" restaurant on Julan Song Thain Cheok
The buffet breakfast, fill up for the day!
The hotel snacks - do not bother with the cookies, they are nowhere near as good as they look!
