Fortina Spa Resort

We have just stayed at the 5 star Hotel Fortina and spa. We stayed in a therapeutic spa bedroom, so had access in our bathroom to a therapeutic spa bath, a shower/steam room, a hydrotherapy machine, and also had our own jacuzzi in our room behind the bed. We had access to 7 restaurants on an all inclusive basis, including free mini bar. The restaurants were fabulous, especially the Japaneses' restaurant and TASTE which is Mediterranean/Vietnamese.

This is probably one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in and we've stayed in some very nice ones! As soon as you arrive in this hotel, which is tucked away at the end of the main road, it shouts luxury at you. There is a grand piano in the bar area with palm trees and lots of flowers and very relaxing atmosphere. There are 7 restaurants which include Italian, Chinese, Japanese and local including a buffet and sometimes when you see these types of restaurants abroad, they're not really up to scratch but these ones were very good. Plenty of swimming pools for everyone so they are never crowded.
As to the rooms, we stayed in a Spa deluxe room and i can only say it was truly amazing. A double jacuzzi behind the super king bed with 2 sofas and tv and coffee machine, the bathroom consisted of a steam room, shower, toilet, steam capsule and a whirlpool bath. and then finally the balcony was very large with a great view over the gardens and swimming pool. This was the second best room in the hotel however, we saw what was classed as the basic rooms, and these were quite large and very clean too.
The Spa and solarium were really clean and lots of activites and massages to try out so never had time to get bored!
This hotel is one id highly recommend.

What a fantastic resort. My husband and I stayed here for two weeks in August and had a wonderful, relaxing time. We were all inclusive and having stayed in many hotels on this basis, this was the highest quality ever. The choice of restaurants is excellent - Italian, Indian, Chinese plus the usual buffet. The grounds are beautifully manicured and spotlessly clean. The spa facilities are extensive, if a little expensive but the hotel offers 1 free pool treatment per day. Malta does not really cater for those who want a lively holiday but for those who want to get away from it all the Fortina is perfect.
