We were the luckiest couple on earth to have stayed on Moorea,French Polynesia,in the South Pacific, at The Moorea Pearl Resort and Spa, last June.
On arrival we were greeted with heavenly,scented flower garlands, made with the islands' official flower; the Tiare, hich were placed around our necks, and each given a glorious cocktail, while being introduced to the hotel, its amenities and our surroundings.(No reps selling trips!
Our accommodation was a Garden View bungalow with every whim at your disposal! Strewn on the double-double bed,on the sofa,the TV, around the bathroom,(even on the toilet-seat!), were beautiful flowers.
On opening the menu, I found it was a Wedding Menu!!
Polynesian weddings, Beach weddings, Royal Weddings, Under-Water Weddings, to name but a few!!All reasonably priced, too.
Some guests were lucky enough to stay in Beach bungalows, or even Over-the-Water Bungalows where glass-topped coffee tables opened up so that you could feed the colourful tropical fish!
The pool had waiter service,free water-sports, towels and fresh coconut placed by you, while you lay back and thought you'd died and gone to Heaven!
Salons catered for every kind of pampering,restaurants served divine dishes, service was with a South Pacific smile(big), even a tattooist was as hand and the weather was superb.Evenig entertainment included traditionally dressed dancers giving a fantastic display and local musicians to sway by!!
Unfortunately, we came back to earth with a bang. Our holiday was over and we had to leave our paradise,but will never forget it!!
