Only 1 star but really good!

This is a great little hotel. The rooms are extremely clean and very nicely decorated. The double room is small and includes two narrow twin-size beds pushed together. It is clean though and had air conditioning.
The hotel is centrally located (5 minutes walk to the Rialto Bridge, fifteen minutes walk to St. Mark's Square and Accademia).

nice room with beautifull view

Last weekend my husband and I went to Venice and stayed in the Al Vagon hotel, a one star accommodation in the centre of Venice near the Rialto Bridge.
Al Vagon is a small, nice, ordinary hotel with rooms with canal view or view on a cosy animated square. If you are lucky – I was – you will have a serenade on your balcony by a handsome gondola paddler.
Rooms in the Al Vagon are simple, clean and nice furnished with very high ceiling. We paid € 140 for a superior room which is normal I think due to the location.
It is not possible to have breakfast in the hotel but even better to do it the Italian way by having a coffee and croissant in a small bar.
Venice is a very romantic and beautiful city where you can wander around for hours in the small alleys with lovely restaurants and winebars!

Nice Hotel

It was wonderful. We spent 3 nights in Hotel al Vagon and would definitely go back again. The canal view from our room was stunning! Staff are pleasant and helpful. There is a vaporetto station nearby from where you can take a boat to go to St. Mark Square and other attractions (but it is not long to walk either). There is a good supermarket nearby.
