Fantastic hotel. Had a great stay. The room was great. The views absolutely stunning! The tram stops at the front door. Meals are expensive but there are possibilities to eat out close by. Can definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. For good rates book it online.

I'm not usually a big fan of the chain hotels but the service at the Sofitel was a pleasant exception.The room was spacious with a great view. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom well equipped.Also the staff were great. Nothing was too much for them. The breakfast room has fantastic views and the breakfast is good but expensive.Overall I would highly recommend this hotel as comfortable and well located. Everything is on walking distance.

I have stayed in better hotels in Melbourne such as the Crown Towers and the Hilton but the Sofitel Melbourne is acceptable.I found it quite expensive for what it was. Although the room was large, it wasn’t in really good condition; especially the bathroom which was flooding after a shower. I must admit that after my complaint, they gave me another room immediately. On a positive note: the views from the hotel are stunning!

We spent a week at the Sofitel in Melbourne, and enjoyed it. From our room on the 47th floor we had a stunning view of the city and beyond. The service was first class, including fast room service.It is a big hotel and built over a shopping center so if you look for something private this probably won't do for you. However for tourists like we are and probably for business travelers as well this hotel offers a good location and an excellent buffet breakfast with stunning views. The extras are expensive, like in most luxury hotels, and there is a large choice of good restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Service was out of this world, staff are fantastic! Made our anniversary extra special. Will definately return next aniversary! Location was also fantastic and that view on the 50th floor... breathtaking!

The Sofitel in Melbourne is a great hotel. It is in a very high building. The first 30 something floors are offices and the higher floors are the hotel rooms. Book a room with river view! Absolutely stunning views.The high tech rooms are very nice with plasma tv, dvd, etc. Also locationwise this hotel is a good choice as you are within walking distance of the theatre district and also not far from shopping area. The staff is very corteous and helpful. I can definitely recommend this hotel.
