Stay at the Acorn Lodge Hotel close to Gatwick and you will get excellent attention, a comfortable room, superb home-cooked breakfast (nothing microwaved), optional evening meal and secure parking for your car while you are away. The Hotel gives complimentary rides to and from the airport at whatever time you want to go.
