We went to Carmarthen Bay Holiday Park in April 08 for our rugby tour - 8s to 11s. We booked as many gold caravans/chalets as possible but the different standard between the gold accommodation was very noticeable. Some of the chalets had no heating, were damp and to put it bluntly smelled. They knew we booked as a group but put us all over the camp. The gold caravans were nice but the gold chalets fell well short of the gold standard. Prices at the bar were high and the entertainment poor. Lucky we made up our own entertainment. The staff did not like it that there were so many complaints from the group and when they closed at 7.00pm they left those unhappy with their accommodation in the hands of the security staff who let face it aren't there to sort out accommodation or complaints. Overall if I was to go there again I would insist on a gold caravan never again will I stay in a chalet...HI DE HI or is it Staleg 13?
ProsGood views in SOME of the caravans
